Pricing:
1. MAC Paint Pot is $16.50 of .17 oz of product
2. Aromaleigh Primer is $9.50 for 5 gm net weight (not sure what the oz of product would be, maybe .17 oz)
3. Urban Decay Primer Potion is $16.00 for . 34 oz of product
4. Too Faced Shadow Insurance is $17.00 for .35 oz of product
Container Design:
1. MAC Paint Pot - a nice twist the lid off jar. It’s heavy, and won’t easily break. It’s easy to get all the product out, so there is no product wasted. A single jar has lasted me over a year with everyday wear
2. Aromaleigh Primer – Has a twist off top in a lightweight container. It might dent easily. It’s easy to get all the product out, so there is no product wasted. A single jar can last someone 9 months to 12 months
3. Urban Decay Primer Potion – really cute genie bottle design. However, it’s a pain to get all of the product out, unless you saw the thing in half! There is a LOT of product wasted with this design. It seems like 1 bottle would last you 6 to 8 months
5. Too Faced Shadow Insurance- Great tooth paste bottle design. Easy to get every last drop of product out. I would guess it lasts 8 to 10 months
I REALLY dislike the Urban Decay Primer Potion Bottle.
I really Like the Too Faced Shadow Insurance bottle.
The MAC Paint Pot and Aromaleigh Eye Shadow Base are in containers that I’m used to and I find them easy to work with.

When I was waiting for these to stay on my skin for about a half hour, Dave asked what I was doing, so I explained to him.
I asked him which sections he thought were the most vibrant. He chose 2 (Aromalegh Eye Shadow Primer) and 4 (Too Faced Shadow Insurance)
I was pleasantly surprised, as they were my choices as well.
Now, in Urban Decay Primer Potion’s defense, I’ve only had the travel size bottle, not the full size bottle. I decided I woudn’t buy a full size botte until they updated the packaging to a better design that I didn’t have to saw in half to get product out.
However, Too Faced Shadow Insurance comes out in 1st place in this review for me. It applies a bit more liquidy than the others, but it seems to work the best on me. MAC Paint Pot is the easiest for me to work with since I’ve been using it the longest. With UDPP I never knew if I used too much or not enough and I would end up with creasing. The Aromaleigh Eye Shadow Primer is pretty good, as it feels like a balm when applied. I sometimes was concerned that I used too much because I’d end up with creasing, but I wasn’t alway sure if that was the case.
For the best prices and product, I would recommend Aromaleigh and Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
For multipurpose use, I think TFSI and the MAC Paint Pots win that, as TFSI can be used as concealer, and so can the right shade of MAC Paint Pt.
Until the UDPP bottle is redesigned to where you won’t waste a bunch of product, I can’t in good conscience recommend it. I also found that, at least with the travel bottle I have, it does not do as good of a job on my skin as TSFI does.
I didn’t realize how much Bare Study would change my eye shadow colors, but Aromaleigh’s E/S primer makes them pop and TFSI really makes them sing!
What do you think of my review?
Which do you choose?
Or do you have them all?
