So really quick, I’ve been collecting MAC Pigments since 2004. My very first pigment was Melon. I fell in love with it, and developed an instant addiction. Next thing you know, its 2010 and 79 pigments later, here we are. I’m still on the lookout for the ones I don’t have or the ones that are truly unique. That new jar size though? PFFT! I refuse! I am so pissed off about the new pigment jar size it’s not even funny. Who cares if I won’t use a whole container in one lifetime — that’s not the point! The point is that you don’t reduce the size of the product without reducing the price. No ma’am

WHAT ARE PIGMENTS?
Pigment is a highly concentrated loose colour powder that contains ingredients to help it adhere to the skin. Create a subtle wash of colour or an intense effect. Does not streak or cake. Easy to blend and long-lasting. Please note: Pigments are sold by weight not volume. Containers can appear to be less than full due to settling of the product.MAC pigments are one of the most versatile items you could purchase. They can be used for different things such as nail color, hair color, eyeshadow, blush, highlight, lip colors and more. You have to be careful and read the labels though, because not every pigment is eye or lip safe. You can even press your pigments into an eyeshadow palette so that you don’t have to worry about a large cumbersome jar. They can also be used wet or dry, which is a huge bonus. Using them wet also intensifies their true color.

MAC used to carry their pigments in a 7.5gram container, but they’ve since reduced the size to 4.5g and forgot to reduce the damn price

I swatched almost all of these with a very thin base of Too Faced Shadow Insurance just so they’d stick better. I removed each swatch with a moist makeup remover wipe, and unfortunately, one of the swatches suffered because of it. True Chartreuse isn’t chalky at all, but it looks that way because of the swatch. My arm was still damp, and that particular pigment is a matte shade. I may re-swatch, but for now, that one will have to do.
Enough chit-chat, let’s just get it on with the MAC pigment pr0n!

RESHA, WHY DO YOU HAVE SO MANY PIGMENTS?
I collect these. Out of all the makeup I have, my pigments are my most valued possession. They are the one item I buy just to have. I absolutely use them, but I still collect them. You may collect stamps, shoes, coins, men or women…my drug of choice is pigments
WHERE CAN I FIND MAC PIGMENT SAMPLES?
If you’re interested in buying pigment samples (trust me, most sample sizes are enough! I still have some from 2006) then check out Cheryl’s Shiny Eyes store. She sells 100% authentic MAC pigment samples and you can fully trust her. Please avoid buying pigments and pigment samples from Ebay unless it’s from any of these sellers. You can also buy full-size MAC pigments directly from MAC stores, or the website. Pigments will soon be available to buy from MAC counters in the near future. If you live near a CCO, they usually always have a few discontinued colors on stock — which reminds me, I need to go to my CCO and see if they have anything I don’t have.I apologize for the lack of posts over the past 4 or 5 days, but I’ve seriously been super busy with work related stuff. I’m frustrated because it’s been keeping me from my own blog, but sometimes that has to happen
