 Directions for Measuring
You'll need a measuring tape to begin. Remember to keep it snug and straight while you're using it — to get a more accurate fit.
Length - Place foot on a piece of paper and mark the toe's and heel's outermost points with a pen or pencil. Measure the distance between the two points. Subtract 1/8" to compensate for the thickness of the pen or pencil.
Ball - Place a measuring tape over the ball joint on the inside of the foot. Pull firmly "not too tight" across on a slightly backward angle to the ball joint of the little toe.
Instep - Place the measuring tape over the instep bone and straight around the bone on the outside of the foot.

Strawberry Freezer Jam

A great recipe for during the summer when strawberries are in a surplus, and then in December you'll still have fresh jam in your freezer.

• Ingredients

• 2 C. crushed strawberries
• 4 C. sugar
• 3/4 C. water
• 1 1 3/4 oz. box powdered fruit pectin

Directions

Crush strawberries or process in blender until you have small pieces. Place in large bowl, stir in sugar, mixing well. In a saucepan bring water and pectin to a boil and boil one minute, stirring constantly. Stir into fruit mixture and continue stirring 2 minutes to dissolve most of the sugar. Ladle into freezer glasses or containers; cover with lids. Let stand until set, about 24 hrs. Store in freezer up to 1 year.

Yield: 5 1 cup glasses

Some mascaras to maybe try out if you haven't already (im a mascara hooker)
Tarte: Lights Camera Lashes or Lash Hugger
Origins: their primer is really good
YSL: luxurious mascara (it works better after a couple uses)
Prescriptives: False lashes--They have it back in stock on the site, i really love it
Clinique: High Impact, Long pretty lashes

And always try and use a primer it helps to hold curl better. I also sometimes layer mascaras, and get a good effect

Thats disappointing...I won't be trying that one for sure!! You should really try Shu Uemuras Ultimate Expression Mascara, I PROMISE you'll LOVVVVVE it, I worked there for awhile and didn't find one customer that wasn't in love. :) its def a little more expensive though.

Well that's disappointing :( I really like Rimmel's Sexy Curves and VolumeMaxx (I think? the bright pink one...), but I don't think we even got this one over here in the US!

I want to try some of these out!

Physicians Formula Powder Palette Mineral Glow Pearls Powder & Blush Swatches, Photos & Review

Physicians Formula is back at it again giving us some products that are super hard to resist because of the pretty packaging!
This time we’re talking about their “Powder Palettes” called Mineral Glow Pearls which come in both a highlighting powder and blush.
The powders are multi-colored “pearls” that all blend together creating a shimmery glowing effect on your face.
The blushes do basically the same thing, but are for cheeks and have a really amazing color payoff.
The Glow Pearls colors are:

Translucent Pearl is a very light pink/white shimmery powder.
Light Bronze is just that, a light brown/bronze color, not too dark for my skin.
Rose Pearl is a very pretty candy pink blush.
The pigmentation with all of these is really nice. You get a lot of color with just a swirl of the brush so definitely tap off excess before applying (especially with the blush which is SUPER soft and pigmented).
They all give off a really nice glow to the skin. If you are looking for a matte blush or something super subtle, this isn’t what you would want because it’s very shimmery, (but not TOO over the top).

Overall:

I love these because they are pretty, easy to use and you get a great amount of pigment with all of them. The highlight powders are 0.28 Oz and the blushes are 0.15 Oz.

THIS is the adorable seal pup that nobody wants to play with — because of his odd appearance.

The rare albino seal was rejected by his family and left to fend for himself after being born with light brown fur and striking blue eyes.

Tarte for True Blood Review & Swatches

My Tarte for True Blood package arrived yesterday, so I want to share photos and swatches.

This limited-edition palette includes 17 eye shadows, a full-size emphasEYES Aqua-Gel Eyeliner in black, a deluxe Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara in black, and a deluxe Lifted Natural Eye Primer with Firmitol.

Also included are instructions for four different looks to try.

The cheek stain looks and smells delicious. It smells like pomegranate to me. In the tube, it looks very bold and a bit scary. However, it applies sheerly and gives me a beautiful reddish pink blush with gold sparkles.

The lip tint is a beautiful shade of red. It gives me that really nice (please 'scuse the pun) "just bitten" look.

Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase. The eye shadows are much more impressive in person. (They looked rather boring in the promo pic.) They are well-pigmented and smooth. Most of the shades have a frost/shimmer finish, and only 4 shades have a matte finish (Dusk, Werewolf, Stake, and Legend). The primer and mascara didn't do much for me, but the eyeliner is amazing! The cheek stain is a great color and lasts all day. The lip tint goes on smoothly and looks great. And the packaging is... to die for!
